Janet Keith graduated from the University of St Andrews with a BA (Hons) Art History. This love of art continued throughout her impressive career as solicitor in Senior Courts of England and Wales. Art was always her calling, and she pursued her passion by completing a BA (Hons) in Creative Arts (Painting) with OCA. Since then, Janet has achieved a number of well-deserved awards. This year, she exhibited at the very prestigious Society of Women Artists annual exhibition in the Mall Galleries, London. She was awarded a prize-winning position at the Royal Ulster Academy in 2021 and was elected member of the Ulster Society of Women Artists. Janet was artist in residence at Glyndebourne Festival Opera in 2013 and her work is in the permanent collection at Parliament Buildings, Stormont, Belfast.
Janet's goal is to create painting that excites in the making. She enjoys the placing of each colour, line or shape next to each other, until the painting rings true to her. She believes that her approach echoes the rhythms and processes present in the natural world of which we are all a part.
