Sophia's subjects are imaginary figures. She adds scenes from memory and popular culture and executes her images in oil and acrylic. Placing her subjects in ordinary environments to understand the complexities of human experience in society, she likes to examine the impact of mental health and to use art as a form of healing. Her practice entails depicting shared experiences between people in their everyday activities.

Sophia draws inspiration from African arts, Art history, Old Masters, contemporary arts, fashion, politics and colours.
Her work has been exhibited nationally, internationally, and at various fairs such as Affordable Art Hampstead, 1-54 Contemporary Art Fair, Marrakech and the other Art Fair.
