Andy Keir British, b. 1983

Born in Dundee in 1983, Andy is an Edinburgh based landscape artist who studied at Duncan of Jordanstone Art School in Dundee. His influences include the great impressionists and cityscape artists. After leaving art school, Andy worked as a chef and time for painting was limited. Then, during Lockdown in 2020-21, he began painting again and decided that he must follow his passion for art. He made the decision to become a full time artist and has not looked back. He loves painting the dark, seedy side of Edinburgh as he believes that it has more character. From his studio in Granton, Andy has spent the last few years studying new approaches to landscape painting - including combining the abstract form with architecture.
